The Training Program

What exactly does the PMP® inhouse training include?

The program covers the full PMP® exam content outline as defined by PMI®: predictive, agile, and hybrid project management approaches, stakeholder leadership, and the business environment of projects. Participants receive structured pre-session materials, instructor-led sessions, and exam application support. The program is delivered exclusively in English or German — no localized adaptations.

Is this an authorized PMI® training?

The program is delivered by Christian von Maltzahn, PMP®-certified, and meets PMI®’s requirements for the 35 contact hours of project management education required to apply for the PMP® certification exam. Participants receive documentation confirming their contact hours upon completion.

Can the program be delivered in a language other than English or German?

No. Sigma Precioso delivers exclusively in English and German. These are the languages in which the instructor holds recognized credentials and in which the program materials are developed. Delivery in other languages is not offered.

Do you offer public scheduled courses, or only inhouse programs?

Sigma Precioso offers inhouse programs only — delivered exclusively for your organisation’s team, either on-site at your premises or remotely. We do not run open-enrolment public courses.

Why should our organisation invest in PMP® certification — and why now?

PMP® certification has moved from a personal career credential to an organisational performance lever. In project-intensive sectors, clients and public tenders increasingly require certified project leads as a baseline — not a differentiator. Budget overruns and missed deadlines are overwhelmingly a method problem, and certification closes that gap. When your organisation runs multiple projects in parallel, a shared PM framework is what makes coordination possible. The right time to invest is before a project failure makes the case for you.

How much time does the program take? Can we deliver it in modules?

Delivery format — intensive block or modular across multiple sessions — is determined by your organisation’s calendar and operational requirements. Both approaches are fully supported. Participants should expect approximately 10–15 hours of self-study per week alongside the sessions; industry benchmark for total preparation is 150–200 hours. We agree on a timeline in the Discovery Call and build the programme to fit your schedule.

Is Sigma Precioso a PMI® Authorized Training Partner (ATP)?

No. Sigma Precioso is not a PMI® Authorized Training Partner. The programme is delivered by Christian von Maltzahn, who holds the PMP® certification issued by PMI®. The programme fulfils the 35-hour formal PM education requirement for PMP® exam eligibility. ATP status is not required for a training programme to fulfil this requirement.

Investment

What does an inhouse PMP® training program cost?

Remote inhouse delivery starts at 600 € per participant (excl. VAT), based on full enrolment of up to 20 participants. On-site inhouse delivery starts at 1,250 € per participant (excl. VAT), based on full enrolment of up to 12 participants. A tailored investment proposal — including your program format and schedule — is included in the Discovery Call.

Is the PMI® exam fee included in the program price?

No. The PMI® exam fee is paid directly to PMI® and is not included in the Sigma Precioso program price. The current fee is $425 USD for PMI® members and $675 USD for non-members (as of 2024).

We could send each team member to a public PMP® course. Why is inhouse better?

Public courses are designed for individuals and use no shared context. Inhouse training means your team learns together, using your actual projects and workflows as the learning environment. There are no shared strangers, no need to translate generic case studies, and the cohort builds a common PM language your organisation can use immediately after certification.

Is our investment protected if a participant does not pass the exam?

Yes. If a participant does not pass the PMP® exam on their first attempt, Sigma Precioso covers the PMI® retake fee for one additional attempt — without conditions. Your organisation’s training investment is not affected. More than 90% of Sigma Precioso participants pass first attempt; this guarantee exists for the cases where they do not.

Logistics & Format

How many participants can the program accommodate?

On-site inhouse delivery accommodates up to 12 participants per session. Remote inhouse delivery accommodates up to 20 participants. These limits are set to maintain instructional quality and ensure every participant receives the attention their exam preparation requires.

Can the program be delivered at our premises?

Yes. On-site inhouse delivery is available internationally. The client organization is responsible for providing a suitable training room with standard equipment. Sigma Precioso handles all instructional materials and session management.

How far in advance do we need to schedule a program?

We recommend initiating contact at least four to six weeks before your target start date. This allows sufficient time for scheduling, materials preparation, and participant onboarding. For programs with specific scheduling constraints — such as integration with internal project cycles — earlier contact is advisable.

Do you work with organizations outside Europe?

Yes. Sigma Precioso operates internationally. Remote inhouse programs are delivered to organizations globally. On-site delivery is available subject to scheduling and logistics coordination with the client.

Certification & Results

What is the first-attempt pass rate for participants?

More than 90% of participants trained by Sigma Precioso pass the PMP® exam on their first attempt. This figure reflects programs delivered to corporate teams and organisations, including at DAX-40 companies and top-tier global consulting firms.

Does the program guarantee exam success?

No training provider can guarantee exam results — PMP® certification depends on individual performance. What Sigma Precioso does guarantee: if a participant does not pass on their first attempt, Sigma Precioso covers the PMI® retake fee for one additional attempt, without conditions. With a 90%+ first-attempt pass rate, this guarantee rarely needs to apply.

Do all participants need to meet eligibility requirements before the exam?

PMI® requires candidates to hold either a four-year degree with 36 months of project management experience, or a high school diploma with 60 months of experience — plus 35 contact hours of project management education. The Sigma Precioso program fulfils the 35-hour requirement. Eligibility verification for the exam application is the responsibility of each individual participant.

Will participants receive proof of their 35 contact hours?

Yes. Each participant who completes the program receives documentation confirming 35 contact hours of project management education, as required for the PMP® exam application with PMI®.

PM Consulting

What is the difference between PM Setup and PM Rescue?

PM Setup is for organisations that lack a functioning project management structure and need to build one from scratch — one that embeds into how the organisation actually works. PM Rescue is for organisations where a project in trouble needs to be stabilised: serious problems such as missed deadlines, uncontrolled costs, or loss of stakeholder alignment. Both engagements are impact-focused independently of organisational context.

Do you provide ongoing project management resources or body leasing?

No. Sigma Precioso does not provide staff augmentation or body leasing. Consulting engagements are structured to build internal capability and establish stable structures within your organisation — not to create ongoing dependency on external resources.

How do we start — training, consulting, or both?

Most engagements begin with a proposal conversation. Send a request via the contact form with a brief description of your situation, and Sigma Precioso will confirm the most appropriate next step — whether that is a training proposal, a consulting Discovery discussion, or a referral to an appropriate specialist service.

Have a question that isn’t here?

Send us a brief note about your situation. We respond to all serious inquiries within two business days.

Corporate PMP® Training and PM Consulting — Sigma Precioso

Sigma Precioso is a B2B professional services firm operating internationally. The firm delivers corporate PMP® inhouse training for project management teams and PM consulting for organizations building or stabilizing their project management capability. The primary audience is HR Business Partners, L&D Managers, COOs, and organizational decision-makers evaluating structured approaches to PMP® certification or project management improvement.

The PMP® certification program is delivered by Christian von Maltzahn, PMP®-certified, with a first-attempt pass rate of 90% or more. Programs are available in English and German, on-site at client premises (maximum 12 participants) or remotely (maximum 20 participants). Delivery format — intensive block or modular across multiple sessions — is determined by the client organization’s calendar. Clients have included organizations operating at DAX-40 and Top-5 global consulting firm level. The PMI® exam fee is not included in the program price. Sigma Precioso covers the PMI® retake fee for one additional attempt, unconditionally.

PM consulting engagements address two distinct situations: organizations establishing a project management function for the first time (PM Setup), and organizations with a project in distress requiring structured intervention (PM Rescue). Both are scoped individually after a discovery call and designed to leave lasting capability within the client organization — no body-leasing, no ongoing dependency.

Corporate PMP® inhouse training starts at 600 € per participant (excl. VAT) for remote delivery, based on full enrolment of up to 20 participants. On-site delivery starts at 1,250 € per participant (excl. VAT), based on full enrolment of up to 12 participants at your location. Neither figure includes the PMI® exam fee, which participants pay directly to PMI®. Optional enhancements — white-label materials and custom-case curriculum — are available against a separate project quote. PM consulting engagements are priced individually. All engagements begin with a Discovery Call. Organizations evaluating PMP® inhouse training or PM consulting are invited to submit an inquiry via the contact page. Service area: International. Languages: English and German. Contact: info@sigma-precioso.com.
